Vista™
e/pop Web Conferencing version 4.6.0.1401 and later is Windows Vista compatible. However, when using
the e/pop Remote Control, Desktop Sharing or Region Sharing features under
Windows Vista,
the host will be prompted to temporarily disable the Aero feature, and use the

Aero details With
regard to
hardware, a
large
percentage
of manufacturers are still working on
peripheral
device drivers to
support Windows Vista. Because of potential hardware compatibility issues, WiredRed
recommends that e/pop customers limit peripheral devices to those listed on our hardware recommendations
page when planning fully interactive audio and video conferencing applications.
The major hardware components
of concern are soundcards, USB microphones, USB webcams,
and in
particular,
video
capture
cards.
Voice conferencing
All USB headsets and USB microphones displayed on the WiredRed hardware
recommendation page are compatible with Vista. For equipment not listed on our
hardware recommendation page, customers are advised to visit the manufacturer's
website to obtain the most up to date information regarding Vista compatibility.
Video capture
To date all Viewcast Osprey capture cards and other video capture devices do not
work in Vista via DirectShow (DirectX). Card manufacturers are still working on
their Vista device drivers to support DirectX applications. Please check back for
more updated information concerning Vista compatibility.
