Video Conferencing Company
e/pop is a complete real-time solution suite. With its installed base of secure instant messaging customers, and the addition of web and
video conferencing, WiredRed is now quickly being recognized as a video conferencing company too. From WiredRed’s technology perspective, these are all real-time applications.
Technology:
The addition of video conferencing applications to e/pop is by design. e/pop is powered by an underlying real-time communications platform. This secure, multipoint, synchronous communications platform was designed for corporate and government networks. Among its design attributes are support for routing in distributed environments (routers, firewalls, NATs), multiple data types and high payloads. As such, it works extremely well as a multiparty video conferencing solution.
Replacing video conferencing services:
An important consideration for your video conferencing company include security, support for internal-only and internal/external applications. Rising to market demand, many conferencing vendors are using a “bolt on” strategy for video conferencing, adding licensed or 3rd-party utilities to their existing services. Often this works fine during a trial period, but problems arise when security and internal/external participants (private and public IP addresses) challenge the system.
Services that use T.120, peer-to-peer and broadcast protocols fail. e/pop uses a secure routing approach, routing all traffic via the installed server, where it can be effectively secured and managed by the IT staff.
Your own video conferencing site:
It takes only minutes to install an e/pop server. Other than the O/S and an assigned static IP address (can be a physical, or mapped address) there are no pre-requisites, dramatically simplifying installation and maintenance. Once up and running, you have your own video conferencing site.
IT staff can restrict access to the server (firewalls), and meeting hosts can further secure their conferences via password protection and (SSL/TLS) encryption.
