SUMMARY
This technote covers the procedure to configure the e/pop client to display the GroupWise Address Book in the directory view.
e/pop Instructions
e/pop offers a special feature that allows the GroupWise address book to be visible within the e/pop client. This allows users to send e/pop messages to any GroupWise user or Distribution list by simply double clicking on the user or distribution list object.
The GroupWise address book is added in e/pop when each user extracts their GroupWise information from the GroupWise server and populates the e/pop directory.
When all the users run e/pop at least once, the GroupWise object in e/pop will appears as it does in the GroupWise client.
To use the GroupWise feature in e/pop, workstations must meet the following requirements.
- The Novell Client 32 must be installed
- The user must be logged into the NDS tree
- The GroupWise client must be installed and operational.
- The GroupWise feature in e/pop must be enabled.
Steps 1 to 3 above are accomplished by installing the appropriate software provided by Novell.
To complete step 4, follow the instructions below.
1. Open the e/pop executable via the e/pop Control Panel (see Admin Guide for details)
2. Select the GroupWise menu located on the left side of the window

3. Enable the GroupWise feature checkbox
4. Select ‘Identity' from the left side of the window
5. Select ‘On each run, set the users identity' and ‘Groupwise display name'

6. Save the settings and start e/pop
If all the requirements are met, e/pop will display the GroupWise address in the e/pop directory.
