e/pop Web & Video Conferencing Concurrent User Licensinge/pop
is licensed by concurrent user. This is an industry standard term that refers to
the total number of people (web browsers) that are connected to a server or
online service at any one time. For example, a license for up to ten concurrent
users means you can have one conference with up to ten people; two conferences
with five; or any combination totaling ten or less. This is very similar to a
telephone PBX with ten lines.
DetailsOnly users connected to a real-time conference count. Users visiting your
conference server welcome page, logged on as administer visiting the admin
console, and those scheduled for future conferences do not count. Only users
connected to the server and in a live conference session count. The e/pop server
counts the browser’s TCP/IP connection. For example, several people in a
boardroom watching a conference on a large screen monitor only count as one
TCP/IP connection (same as a PBX would only count one telephone line).
Concurrent User Illustrations & Screenshots:
10 concurrent users - conference server, one meeting, 10 users

10 concurrent users – conference server, 5 meetings, 2 users each

In this screen shot, we have 6 concurrent users. e/pop
only counts TCP/IP connections, so the four humans in the conference
room using one browser (and one TCP/IP connection) only count as 1 in
the total.
